Seeking Norristown Mentors For Big Brothers Big Sisters

NORRISTOWN, PA -- More than 1,200 children are on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence waiting list for a mentor, according to the organization.

There is a great need for adult volunteers to step up and become mentors, not just within the city of Philadelphia but in the suburbs as well, including the Norristown area.

BBBS Independence invites adults to come out and learn more about what it means to be a mentor at an upcoming Volunteer Information Session.

April is National Volunteer Month, and there's no better time to commit to volunteering just a few hours a month as a Big Brother or Big Sister and making a difference in the life of a child.

An upcoming session will be held at the Norristown office of BBBS Independence this Thursday, April 21 at 6 p.m.
