September Events for Children at the Norristown Public Library

ALL CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. We suggest you arrive early to guarantee admission. Doors will close and a sign will be posted on the door to the Children’s Learning Center when maximum capacity for each program has been reached. Programs begin on time.

Tuesday, September 1

Bingo! – 2:00 – Join us to play this popular game. Prizes awarded. Grades K-6. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.

Thursday, September 3

Board Game Day – 2:00 pm – Drop in and play some favorite board games. For kids in grades K-6.

Saturday, September 12

Build! –10:30 am-12:00 pm -- Create and build using a variety of great materials for the budding engineer: LEGO, K’Nex, Straws & Connectors, and more! For children entering grades K-6—children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.

Monday, September 14

Back to School Craft – 3:00 – Make a bookmark and other creations with plastic canvas and yarn. For kids in grades K-6. Drop in. Norristown schools day off activity.

Mondays, September 21 through December 14

KidsMake – 4:30-- For kids who like to try new things. Crafts, science projects, building projects, electronics, and more! For kids entering grades 3-6. A parent-signed release form is required to attend. Class size is limited.

Tuesdays, September 15 through 29

Fall Fun – 10:30 am – Seasonal fun with stories, songs, and movement for the older toddler and preschool child. For children ages 3-1/2 to 5. Class size is limited. Drop in.

Theater Workshop – 6:30 pm – Join Ms. Tiffany for an exciting introduction to acting and theater. For kids in grades 3-6.

Wednesdays September 16 through December 16

Baby Lap Rap –10:30am - Simple stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for your baby and you! Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.

Thursdays, September 17 through December 17

Toddler Tickle Tales – 10:30am - Stories, songs, fingerplays and simple games for the active toddler and early preschool child, followed by playgroup time with toys. Ages 2-4 with a caregiver. Drop in.

Evening Stories – 7:00 pm – Join Ms. Susan for stories, songs, and movement fun for the whole family. Ages 0-6. Drop in.

Tuesdays, September 22 through Dec 15

KidsMake Studio – 4:30 – Open workshop time for kids who attend our regular KidsMake sessions. We supply the materials, the kids think up the projects! A parent-signed release form is required to attend. Class size is limited.

Wednesday, September 23

Autumn/Halloween Bracelets – 3:00 – Come make autumn or Halloween-themed bracelets and necklaces. Grades K-6. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in. Norristown area schools day off activity.
