Shooting And Stabbing In Norristown Late Tuesday Night: Cops

Two separate incidents of violence, a shooting and a stabbing, rocked Norristown late Tuesday night.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Two separate incidents of violence, a shooting and a stabbing, rocked Norristown on Tuesday night, police said.

The first incident was reported at 10:21 p.m. in the area of Walnut and Oak streets, police said.

Police said the victim was an adult male and that he may have been shot earlier in the evening.

He was taken to Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norriton where he was treated, authorities said. His condition is not presently known.

The second incident occurred sometime before 11:09 p.m. near Main and Water streets, according to police.

The adult male was stabbed and taken by an acquaintance to Einstein for treatment.

It's not yet clear what led to the violence.

Police said that there is nothing to indicate the stabbing and shooting are related.
