Sinclair Brothers, Norristown Football Standouts, Representing Borough

Khalif will play in an All-American Bowl on Saturday. Khalil, meanwhile, is headed to Widener on a huge scholarship. Well done.

NORRISTOWN, PA - A pair of Norristown standout football players are making big waves well beyond the borough.

Khalif and Khalil Sinclair have each earned their own distinctions.

On Saturday, January 9, Khalif Sinclair will play wide receiver in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl North-South game in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

“The Blue-Grey Football was established in 1989 and the founders were Gus Bell and his son Erik Bell,” according to oganizers. “Together, they established the brand to help prep prospects from all over the country receive national exposure and increase their chances to secure scholarships to a college.”

Khalil Sinclair, meanwhile, was this past year’s recipient of the Widener University leadership award, Norristown football announced.

Khalil was selected based on his commitment to service, civic engagement, and community, according to the program.

The Norristown standout has made a difference in the community by creating, developing and promoting an organization called Dancing on the Planet Earth. The program concentrates on inspiring young children to be creative, focused and physically active.

He was accepted into Widener University on Instant Decision day on November 25th, 2015 at Norristown Area High School and was offered a merit scholarship of $23,000, with an additional $5000 per year for winning the leadership award.
