NORRISTOWN, PA — A Suicide Prevention Training event will be held in Norristown this month.
The event will be hosted by the United Church of Christ on Jan. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is free and open the wider community. The training focus will be on "QPR": Question, Persuade, Refer. This "gatekeeper" training teaches individuals how to recognize warning signs of suicide and how to respond.

Hot chocolate, coffee, and light refreshments will be served. The church is located on 1003 West Marshall Street.
