Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1:00 pm: Gyotaku: Japanese Fish Printing to be held at Norristown Farm Park

An art program will occur this Sunday, Nov. 15th (1:00 pm) at the Norristown Farm Park. We'll be using both real fish and replicas.

Nature printing is an ancient tool of science as well as an art form.  Gyotaku (guh-yo-tah-koo) is Japanese for “fish printing”.  We will use both real fish and replicas to make our prints with block printing ink, paints, and/or stamp ink.  If done carefully the finished result will be suitable for framing.  Make someone a unique gift or use the art created to decorate your own walls.  Meet at the park office.  Space is limited; sign up early by calling (610-270-0215).  Pre-registration by phone is required.  Ages: adults and children 12 and up.  $5.00 per person attending
