A conference for pregnant and parenting teens and the adults who work with them
26th Annual Teen Parent Conference Set for Thursday, April 23, 2015
Hurry, there’s still time to register! Youth and their families are invited to the Teen Parent Conference sponsored by the Montgomery County Teen Parent Task Force. The Teen Parent Conference addresses the needs of pregnant and parenting teen moms and dads and the adults who work with them. The conference takes place on Thursday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, 3050 West Ridge Pike, Eagleville, PA 19403.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by morning refreshments and activity stations sponsored by community agencies that offer resources to pregnant and parenting teens and their families. Morning workshops will provide teens with an opportunity to learn more about taking care of themselves, how to positively discipline their children, promote healthy dating relationship behaviors, and how to separate facts from myths about marijuana use. A networking discussion for professionals is also part of the day.

The Teen Parent Task Force is a coalition of public and private agency representatives including social workers, educators, health professionals, clergy, parents, teens and concerned citizens. The mission of the Teen Parent Task Force is to advocate for the needs and services of pregnant and parenting teens, to work toward the reduction of teen pregnancy, and to empower teens to make healthy decisions. www.montcopateenparent.org
