U.S. 202 Shut Down In Norristown Overnight For Construction
Portions of U.S. 202 will be shut down overnight in the Norristown area this week for construction. Additional traffic should be expected.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Portions of U.S. 202 will be shut down in the Norristown area this week for construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced. Additional traffic should be expected.
A gas main will be installed between Monday, Aug. 21, and Friday, Aug. 25, from 8 pm. to 6 a.m. 202 will be closed from Schuylkill Avenue to Main Street in Norristown.
During construction, U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street) motorists will be detoured over Main Street and Markley Street, PennDOT said.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling in the area.
PECO will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, officials said.
