U.S. 202 Shut Down In Norristown Overnight For Construction
Portions of U.S. 202 will be shut down overnight in the Norristown area next week for construction. Additional traffic should be expected.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Portions of U.S. 202 will be shut down in the Norristown area next week for construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced. Additional traffic should be expected.
The closures are due to a gas main installation.
202 will be shut down between Lafayette Street and Schuylkill Avenue from Monday, Oct. 23 through Friday, Oct. 27 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

During construction, U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street) motorists will be detoured over Main Street and Markley Street, PennDOT said.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling in the area.

PECO will complete the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, officials said.
