U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy Makes Good On Eagles-Patriots Wager

The U.S. Congressman from Massachusetts held up his end of the bargain on a Super Bowl bet with Montgomery County's U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle.

The fallout from the innumerable Super Bowl bets between Philadelphia and Boston-area institutions continues, nine days after the Eagles won the big game.

U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA 4) had a friendly wager with Montgomery County's U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle. If the Eagles lost, Boyle would send Kennedy a treat from Philadelphia; and if the Patriots lost, Kennedy would send Boyle something from Boston.

So Kennedy stopped by Boyle's office to hand deliver him a Boston Cream Pie on Tuesday.

Boyle shared the news in a Facebook post Tuesday:

"Grateful to my friend and colleague Rep. Joe Kennedy III (MA) for holding up to his end of our Super Bowl Wager. My Eagles won. His Pats lost. So, Joe stopped by this afternoon to deliver an authentic Boston Cream Pie. (He actually brought it onto the plane with him today...) #FlyEaglesFly"

Kennedy, 37, the grandson of Robert Kennedy and grand-nephew of President John F. Kennedy, assumed office in 2013. He gave the Democratic response to the State of the Union address last month.
