An Uber driver was acquitted of rape but sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for sexual assault in Montgomery County.

Abdellah Elkaddi, 46, a Moroccan national, has maintained his innocence throughout the process, according to a Times Herald report. His lawyer previously classified the charges as ”merely allegations,” according to the report, citing the fact that Elkaddi has not been in criminal trouble before.
Last year, Elkaddi told a judgethat his $1 million fair was excessive and unreasonable, according to a Times Herald report.
