ULI Philadelphia Presents: At the Corner of Rail and Broad: Connecting the New Rail Park to North Broad, Neighborhoods and Center City

The new 3 mile linear park and recreation path will serve as "the final stitch," connecting neighborhoods and institutions to Fairmount Park

Much like Manhattan’s celebrated High Line, Philadelphia’s new three-mile linear park and recreation path – double the width of the High Line and scheduled to break ground later this year — will serve as “the final stitch,” connecting neighborhoods and cultural institutions to Fairmount Park. The new Rail Park, running along the historic elevated Reading Viaduct and City Branch of the old Philadelphia and Reading Railroad lines, has the potential to transform, revitalize and drive economic development, recreation, open space, education, environmental and cultural vitality from Fairmount Avenue to Vine Street, and weaving together a dozen neighborhoods, North Broad Street and Center City. Join us for this informative session with some of the industry’s leading experts to discuss this transformative project.
