Vacant Norristown Council Seat To Be Filled At Wednesday Meeting

The District 3 Council seat vacated by former council president Linda Christian last month will be filled on Wednesday night at the Council meeting, according to the agenda.

Christian moved from her house in the district, and when the discovery was leaked to the press, she resigned her post before she could be removed.

Laws state that councilpersons must reside in the district which they represent.

In addition, handicapped parking spaces will also be discussed. Montgomery County Senior Judge, William Nicholas will be sworn in, and Andrew Stiteler will be approved as a firefighter.
