Valley Forge Casino Resort Brightens Holiday Season for Needy Families, U.S. Troops
Casino employees collected gifts for local families and sent dozens of holiday cards to members of the U.S. Military.
Valley Forge Casino Resort employees participated in two holiday collections during the month of December to make the season brighter for local families in need and troops serving in the United States Army overseas.
On Friday, December 19, employees delivered nearly 200 gifts to the Pottstown branch of the Family Services of Montgomery County after adopting seven families in need of gifts this holiday season.
On Tuesday, December 23, Airman First Class Khareif Williams, a representative of the Friends of the Family Readiness Group, visited the casino to pick up dozens of holiday cards decorated by casino staff and their families at the casino’s employee holiday party earlier in the month. The employees also created and produced a DVD to send to the troops.

“Giving back to our community is a top priority for Valley Forge Casino Resort staff and leadership,” said VFCR Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer Galle. “With this initiative, our employees are making the holiday season brighter by providing gifts for children in need and sending notes of appreciation to troops overseas who can’t be with their families this holiday season.”
