Via Veneto Seeks Liquor License For Norristown Location

One of the region's premier pizza slices is looking to serve alcohol at its new Norristown location.

NORRISTOWN, PA — One of the region's premier pizza slices is vying to sell alcohol at its new restaurant.

Norristown's Via Veneto Pizza is seeking a liquor license from the muncipality for its 1803 Markeley Street location.

A public hearing for the license will be held during Tuesday night's municipal council meeting. The council will vote on the motion after the hearing.

Founded in 1973, Via Veneto was previously headquartered at 1803 Markeley, but moved to 2688 Dekalb Pike in West Norriton years back.

Tuesday night's meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit on 2 West Lafayette Street in Norristown. It is open to the public.
