Videos Show Possible Meteor That Zipped Across PA Sky

More than 300 people saw a possible meteor zipping across the Pennsylvania sky and along the East Coast on Tuesday night (see videos below).

Videos captured the possible meteor as it crossed roads and towns and apparently burst into a fireball around 10:57 p.m. on Tueday.

The American Meteor Society said it recieved 325 reports about a meteor/fireball seen over Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia.

A number of people in the region said they saw a bright flash across the sky, NJ.com reported, and South Jersey residents reported houses shaking as the possible meteor zipped by.

While reports came in from around the Mid-Atlantic region, they were heaviest in the South Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. areas, with dozens of reports coming out of southeastern Pennsylvania.
