Water Main Break In West Norriton Damages Little League Fields

Hydrant flushing is expected to continue in the area through Wednesday afternoon.

WEST NORRITON, PA — A water main break in West Norriton Tuesday morning left damage in the local area.

The break occurred near West Main Street and Burnside Avenue and hit the West Norriton Little League fields, as well as local streets.

Local residents were warned that they could experience discolored water or lowered water pressure as the situation was resolved.

Crews from Pennsylvania American Water worked to flush hydrants around the Norristown area in an effort to clear the systems out. All flushing is expected to be completed by Wednesday at 3 p.m.

In West Norriton, the minor league and tee ball fields were damaged and closed as repairs got underway.
