'We Buy Houses' Signs Across Norristown Drawing Ire Of Residents
Residents are complaining that the signs are misleading and imply that no one wants to live in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A spate of "We Buy Houses" signs and posters that have popped up across the borough are drawing the ire of some residents, who say that they are misleading and imply that no one wants to live in Norristown.
During a recent municipal council meeting, Noble Street resident Wally Harris said that the signs are popping up everywhere, including street corners, on the sides of buildings, and telephone poles.
It's not clear where the signs are originating from - neither Harris nor the council knew. Harris wanted to know if it was okay for citizens to take the signs down, or if they should call the borough.

Harris added that the signs gave a false impression about the desirability of the Norristown housing market. He pointed to several homes near his residence on Noble Street that had sold quickly and above market value in recent months.
Municipal council said that residents can take the signs down only if they are on public property or interfere with the public right of way. They added that residents can also call Municipal Administrator Crandall Jones' office at 610-272-8080 to report the signs.

"If it's allowed...I'd like the pleasure of doing it myself," Harris said, before thanking the council.
