West Norriton Contractor Took Thousands In Payment, Refused To Do Work: Report
The suspect allegedly took thousands of dollars from several customers, but inexplicably refused to do any of the work he was hired to do.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A West Norriton contractor has been sentenced to jail in connection with a home improvement fraud scheme he operated in the area in 2015, according to a report.
Aaron Michael Stead, 43, took thousands of dollars from several customers but refused to do any of the work he was hired to do, the Times Herald reports.
Stead, of Kohn Street in Norristown, must pay back a total of $9,689 to three different customers who paid him but never received any work, the report states. He has also been sentenced to nine to 23 months in jail.

The judge reportedly said that if Stead pays the restitution in full, he may be able to reduce his total time of court supervision.
When customers contacted Stead to ask that he finish the work, he reportedly had a litany of excuses, from “it’s too cold out” to “I’m going through issues.”
