West Norriton Receives $600K From State For Traffic Safety

Good news: West Norriton will receive more than $600,000 from the state to improve traffic safety around the area.

WEST NORRITON, PA — Millions in state funding is being disbursed to municipalities across Pennsylvania to improve traffic safety, including several in Montgomery County.

The $11.5 million in funding comes from the Automated Red Light Enforcement fund, comprised of fines collected for red light violations at 30 select red light intersections in Philadelphia.

“This program helps communities across the state make investments in traffic flow and safety,” Gov. Wolf said in a statement announcing the funding on Monday. “These improvements complement the many road, bridge, and multimodal projects happening in Pennsylvania.”
