Woman Arrested For Killing 96-Year-Old Neighbor In Montco: DA
Elisabeth Anna Floyd, 34, will be charged with third-degree murder in the killing of a 96-year-old man whom she had never met, the DA said.

A woman has been arrested for the killing of her 96-year-old neighbor in September in East Norriton, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
Elisabeth Anna Floyd, 34, will be charged with third-degree murder and related charges, the DA said.
Authorities said the incident occurred on Sept. 21 at 7:35 a.m. on the 500 block of Marion Avenue.

Police responded to a call of an injured person lying in the driveway. It turned out to be Alfred C. Payne, 96, who had suffered a hip fracture after being attacked by Floyd, the DA said.
Payne was hospitalized, underwent surgery, and then sent to a long-term care facility, where he ultimately died on Feb. 19, according to the DA.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
Officials noted that Floyd and Payne had never met before the attack.
Floyd was arrested on Friday. A motive for the attack remains unclear.
A preliminary hearing is set for July 13.
