Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Killing 96-Year-Old East Norriton Neighbor
A 34-year-old East Norriton woman has pleaded not guilty in the death of a 96-year-old neighbor whom she had never met.

A woman has pleaded not guilty to charges that she killed her 96-year-old neighbor in September in East Norriton, according to court documents.
Elisabeth Anna Floyd, 34, has been charged with third-degree murder and related counts, the Montgomery County District Attorney said.
She is currently free on bail.

Authorities said the incident occurred on Sept. 21 at 7:35 a.m. on the 500 block of Marion Avenue.
Police responded to a call of an injured person lying in the driveway. It turned out to be Alfred C. Payne, 96, who had suffered a hip fracture after being attacked by Floyd, the DA said.

Payne was hospitalized, underwent surgery, and then sent to a long-term care facility, where he ultimately died on Feb. 19, according to the DA.
The Montgomery County Coroner's Office subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
Officials noted that Floyd and Payne had never met before the alleged attack.
A motive for the attack remains unclear.
