Duquesne Light Warns North Allegheny Residents of Potential Scam
Duquesne Light says the elderly are often the target.

Duquesne Light officials are warning local police departments to be aware of a potential scam targeting its customers.
A few customers have reported receiving calls stating that if payment isn’t made immediately, their service will be terminated the same day. The callers are also directing customers to purchase “pre-paid” type credit cards to pay off the alleged amount.
Duquesne Light does not call customers on the day of a scheduled termination for non-payment, nor does it ask customers to purchase these pre-paid type payment cards.
