As open enrollment for the
Affordable Care Act begins October 1 and we head into 2014 when many of the
major provisions in the law take effect, many people are still wondering what
the law is all about. How it will offer coverage to those who do not currently
have health insurance? Will it affect me if I already have health insurance? Is
there assistance available if I can’t afford to pay for health insurance?
Erin Ninehouser, Education
and Outreach Director of PHAN (Pennsylvania Health Access Network), a
non-profit, non-partisan health care coalition, will present information about
the new health care law, how it works and how people can access the new
benefits and protections it puts in place.
You are encouraged to come and learn about the new law, ask questions, get answers. Registration is required for this free forum at Northland Public Library. Please register by calling the Adult Reference Desk at 412-366-8100, extension 113 or online: www.northlandlibrary.org.
