2016 Program for this Weekend's 17th Village Renaissance Faire is Released & Crossroads Irish Dance & Tom Slattery are added

Crossroads School of Irish Dance continues to represent the rise of the celtic arts at the Village Renaissance Faire Sept 17 & 18.

2016 Program for this Weekend's 17th Village Renaissance Faire is Released, and Crossroads Irish Dance & Tom Slattery are added as well

The 17th Village Renaissance Faire is bigger and better this year, and all one has to do is visit the faire's website, take a gander, or even download the full color program. The Faire must, however, admit this some performers and additions are not included by typesetting error, or just recently added after publication so review the facebook site or webpage for the latest updates.

Most glaringly is our hallmark and longest standing cornerstone, our featured irish roots. Our longest running dance ensembles and one that even braved the hurricane years ago to perform inside, Crossroads School of Irish Dance returns at 3:00 p.m. Saturday for an exhibition and instructional lesson in the art of dance. Crossroads is Bucks County’s FIRST Qualified School For Adults Step-dancing, figures and performance classes. The Crossroads School is an Irish dancing school dedicated to teaching Irish dancing strictly to adults. Instruction is designed to help adult dancers learn and master Irish dancing in a supportive and fun environment. Classes are taught by Joanne Collins Schneider, T.C.R.G.

Also missing is last minute return of our Celtic Historian, Tom Slattery. After 25 years of developing a Celtic Collection of books, cds and dvds of the Celtic Nations; Brittany, Cornwall, Isle of Mann, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, which is now housed in the Bucks County Community College Library, he started teaching Irish history. The more he learned the stronger his commitment grew so he got involved in the creation of a Gael Scoil (Irish School) for children 7 to 17 years old which will mark its 10th Anniversary this . This coming February.

As you can see, there are constant additions to our faire, so there is always alot to do, learn, and enjoy. There are over 250 performers, hundreds of re-enactors, 11 performance venues, dozens of free childrens' activities, a dozen games of skill, and so much more. So albeit fire breathers, jousting, or birds of prey…. or wizardry, gameshows or faire food … or dancing, music, and artisans you wish to see, you can stay all day as there are plenty of activities to also keep the wee ones enthralled (some say even more is here for them than anywhere else). Please explore our website and 16 page color guide available on-line to see why people say the following about our faire:How Could I never have heard such a Faire--and it’s been here 16 years
