3 Drivers Charged With DUI Following Traffic Stops In Northampton Township
The June 1-7 police blotter also included a rear-end crash, community outreach and 47 medical emergencies.

RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police reported the following calls between June 1 and 7, including three DUI arrests, a warrant arrest, and a traffic crash.
On June 1, police were called to the area of Stoneyford Road and East Holland Road for a well-being check involving a driver with flat tires. Police spoke with the driver who was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police also reported a traffic accident on June 2 at Newtown-Richboro Road and Harmoney Drive. According to police, a vehicle was on Harmoney Drive waiting to turn onto Newtown-Richboro Road when it was struck from behind by another vehicle. A tow was not required.

On June 3, patrol initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. During the investigation, one of the occupants was found to have an active warrant and was taken into custody. The occupant was also found to be in possession of drugs and/or drug paraphernalia, resulting in drug-related charges being filed.
On June 4, community relations officers met with local Tapestry residents and spoke about e-bike-related topics. On June 5, police participated in the township’s Sun and Fun Fest.

Two more DUI-related arrests were listed later in the week. Police reported that on June 6, patrol stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation in the area of 2nd Street Pike and Tanyard Road. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
On June 7, patrol initiated a traffic stop in the 1500 block of 2nd Street Pike for a motor vehicle violation. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
During the tour, police reported handling 25 alarm calls, 23 abandoned 911 calls, 47 medical emergencies, 12 bookings, 8 domestic disputes, 14 civil disputes, 86 traffic monitoring details and 27 crime prevention details.
