Through powerful storytelling and a historically grounded, first-person portrayal, Corsey will transport audiences through four defining chapters of Harriet Tubman's life, beginning with her childhood as Araminta "Minty" Ross and continuing through her transformation into the legendary abolitionist, Underground Railroad conductor, and freedom fighter affectionately known as "Moses."

Featuring period-appropriate costume changes and compelling historical interpretation, the presentation offers audiences an opportunity to experience Tubman's extraordinary journey of courage, sacrifice, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to freedom.

The program is presented by Gather Place, a Yardley-based organization dedicated to bringing history to life through immersive storytelling, historical reenactments, and community engagement. Its mission emphasizes sharing the overlooked, forgotten, and often untold contributions of African Americans and other historically underrepresented communities whose stories are essential to understanding America's history.

As the nation commemorates its 250th anniversary, Gather Place continues to highlight the diverse individuals whose courage, contributions, and sacrifices helped shape the American story.

"Harriet Tubman's story is more than history. It is a powerful reminder of what courage, faith, determination, and the pursuit of freedom can accomplish," said Corsey.

Designed to educate, engage, and inspire, the presentation also fulfills the civic and social literacy component of the Pennsylvania Library Association's PA Forward Gold Star program.
