Auschwitz Survivor to Speak at Ohev Tonight
A local holocaust survivor will tell his story at Ohev Shalom at 7 tonight.

Ernest Gross was 15 when he and his family were deported by the Hungarian government to Auschwitz. He spent several months there before he was put on a mandatory march toward two other camps. That day, April 29, 1945, he was freed by American troops, mere hours before he was to be put to death.
Gross will speak about his experiences, at concentration camps and after his liberation, at 7:30 tonight at . The service commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Day begins at 7 p.m.
He's lived in the United States since 1947, working in different areas of business and raising his children and grandchildren. He now speaks to students in area schools about the importance of equality and learning not to hate.
