Bad History Repeated

When I was just a kid my mother instilled in me a love of reading. When she finished a huge tome she would toss it to me. I devoured those books. Most of them were about the Holocaust. My young mind just didn’t get it. I could not wrap my head about the fact that people were being tortured, gassed and systematically killed simply because they were Jewish. I was so confused and horrified. For the record, I am not Jewish, I am Catholic and it has been my good fortune to have known, and still have, the most amazing, kind, caring people I call my friends that happen to be Jewish. By the way, Jesus was a Jew, do you hate him too?

So, here we are years later – scores of people marching down our streets spewing their hatred of Jews. Again, all I can think of is why ??? What is happening in Palestine is being done by the government of Israel—not the Jewish people.

To the marching buffoons, why don’t you do something useful with your lives? Get educated, get a job, help those less fortunate.

History does have a funny way of repeating itself, you never know what can happen. Some day the whole lot of you could be rounded up and forced, stuffed and wedged into a cattle car. Don’t know what a cattle car is? As I said, educate yourself. Enjoy the ride – at the end of the line a special camp awaits with special plans just for you.
