Witness Fire Breathers, Swallowers; Walking on Glass, Hot Coals at Renaissance Faire

Check out the literally hot stunts this weekend at the13th Village Renaissance Faire.

Come one, come all, suspend your disbelief for just one weekend and relive the fantasy of the Reniassance.

Adamo Ignis, latin for 'to fall in love with flame,' is exactly what you'll be doing when you see the hot stunts this weekend at the Village Renaissance Faire. Her passion of dance, the danger of fire and, of course, many other stunts and tricks will leave you in love with more than just the flame...BUT THEN AGAIN, that is so true for so many things at the 13th Annual Village Renaissance Faire this coming weekend. Her show alone is worth the $5 cost of admission, but there is so much, more as she is just one spectular show that fill more than seven stages and the faireways.

Of course, the hallmark favorites remain at the Faire, and there are many: Jousting, Trebuchet launch, Swordfighting, Blades of Steel, iron Work, dancing ensembles, musicians abound, and the faires' unique and enjoyable street interactions.

The wee ones are never left behind with free loaner costumes, free crafts, and an interactive play area the size of a football field where any and all renaissance antics can be recreated in a supervised play area.

For those of a competitive sort, there is knife and axe throwing, chickenshot, throwing fits, Jacobs Ladder, and  Merlin’s Mystical World of Captured Air. So, do not be surprised, if you see science developing before your eyes, but always be on the look out for those flying chickens.

So, come celebrate  the rich and vibrant culture of our village at festival time.  Observe skilled artisans who sell and demonstrate time-honored arts and crafts, such as weaving, blacksmithing, leatherworking, pottery, woodcarving, jewelry, and clothing. Stroll the pathways, with new sights and sounds at every turning. The fair has new wonders to unfold this year, as our tradition embraces and presents another chapter of the new worlds it has displayed in the past.

Not only is the faire the most reasonable of all at just $5 with parking and under 8 FREE, but all the proceeds benefit the public library. Hope to see you at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Rd., Wrightstown, Pa, Sept. 15 and 16.
