Buck Road Closed For Downed Tree In Northampton Township
The Northampton Police Department reported a downed tree is blocking the entrance to Holland Elementary School.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Police are urging motorists to be mindful of slick weather conditions as the rain changes to snow, ice, and freezing temperatures Friday into the weekend.
The Northampton Township Police Department reported at 12:35 p.m. Friday that the entrance to the Holland Elementary School has been blocked by a downed tree.
Police said the downed tree on Buck Road, north of East Holland, involves PECO wires and that officers were on the scene and Buck Road was closed between Thoroughbred and East Village roads.

They warned motorists to avoid the area.
The department was informing residents at 12:30 p.m. that the precipitation has changed over to snow in Richboro and that the DPW was out salting.

Police offered a reminder that four-wheel and all-wheel drive gets motorists going but doesn't assist in stopping their vehicles and from driving carefully.
Police said that while PennDot does a good job when it comes to plowing and salting roads, they have to travel a distance and have a large area to cover.
So the police department posts which township roads are maintained by the state.
