The Chinquapin Road bridge has reopened, PennDot announced.

The bridge, which goes over Iron Works Creek in Northampton Township, was reopened following the completion of a $400,000 project to rehabilitate the structure.

Crews worked over the past three months to restore the one-span bridge by replacing the deteriorated concrete beams and bridge deck, and repairing the support abutments and drainage system, PennDOT said. The roadway approaches to the bridge were also resurfaced, PennDOT said.
