Convergence: Community Harmony Through Dance. In this much anticipated performance, Artistic Director, Alicia Sehn, and Producer, Joann Cistone (director of the Babylon School of Dance), aim to bring both Concert and Modern Dance to the Bucks County area. While the Modern Dance community is thriving in Philadelphia, Convergence plans to expand that community into the suburbs. In addition to giving local dance artists the opportunity to present professional works closer to home, the concert will include pieces from three dance schools (Babylon School of Dance, Center Stage Dance Academy and Institute of Dance Artistry). While utilizing their skills in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary Dance, aspiring dance students will have the experience of sharing the stage with professional, seasoned dancers as well as receiving a more in depth look at the world of Concert Dance. The artists behind Convergence are looking forward to presenting their work to a new audience and to open their arms and welcome young dancers to experience the life of a professional dance artist.
