Drug Arrest, DUI, Fraud, And Traffic Incidents Reported In Northampton Twp.

Over a one week period in early February, police handled a range of incidents including traffic stops, fraud, and a juvenile e-bike matter.

RICHBORO, PA — Northampton Township Police responded to various incidents from February 9 to February 15, according to a recent police report. Officers addressed traffic accidents, suspicious vehicles, fraud reports, and made several arrests during this period.

On Feb. 10, patrol observed an occupied vehicle in a lot on the 800 block of 2nd Street Pike around 2:40 a.m.. The driver, who appeared to be asleep, told police he was tired from working. No issues were found, and the driver did not require assistance.

A fraud report was filed after a complainant received an overdraft notice and discovered an unauthorized recurring bill payment. The financial institution advised that the transaction would be canceled.

On Feb. 10, patrol initiated a traffic stop near Lower Holland Road and Bustleton Pike. Following an investigation, the driver was taken into custody for drug possession and related offenses. Later that day, during a traffic stop for an e-bike violation on 2nd Street Pike, the operator was found to have multiple active warrants and was taken into custody.

On Feb. 12, a scam was reported when a complainant received a phone call and text message about a $200 investment opportunity. The complainant determined the contact was a scam and terminated the call. A traffic accident occurred on Feb. 13 at the intersection of 2nd Street Pike and Sackettsford Road, requiring a tow for one vehicle.

On Feb. 14, a traffic stop near Pine Run Drive for a motor vehicle violation led to a DUI arrest. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. On Feb. 15, patrol stopped a juvenile operating an e-bike on Holland Road near East Holland Road. A parent was called to the scene to retrieve the e-bike and receive information regarding usage regulations.

During this period, patrol also handled 25 alarm calls, eight abandoned 911 calls, 43 medical emergencies, 10 bookings, four domestic disputes, five civil disputes, 91 traffic monitoring details, and 14 crime prevention details.
