Expo "Rocks" The Churchville Nature Center This Weekend With Earth Science Fun
The Gold Rush of 1849 is the theme of this year's Rock & Mineral Expo taking place Saturday and Sunday in Northampton Township.

CHURCHVILLE, PA — The Churchville Nature Center will bring the excitement of rocks and minerals to Bucks County during a two-day expo in Northampton Township.
Following a "Gold Rush" theme, the weekend celebration will "rock" with hands-on Earth Science demonstrations, crafts, and games. Special activity stations will include sluicing, gold panning, cave exploring, geode breaking, and more.
In addition, local vendors – including collectors, artists and crafters - will be on-hand to sell rock and mineral pieces, jewelry, carvings, decorative pieces, and other wares.

“Our entire nature center will be used for this indoor event and there will be things to see, do and learn in every room,” said Megan Keller, the nature center’s Public Events & Summer Camp Coordinator. “We enjoy seeing families learn about science and history together and I know the building will be busy and noisy all weekend, for good reasons!”
