Finalists Announced For Bucks Co. Teacher Of The Year Contest

Congratulations to these three Bucks County teachers!

The top three finalists for the 2018 Bucks County Teacher of the Year Contest, held by Inspire Federal Credit Union, have been announced. The winner will be announced July 21.

Finalists were chosen from an initial group of over 200 nominated teachers. Ten finalists were evaluated on a submission package that included teaching philosophy, community involvement, awards and recognitions, educational history, professional development, and letters of recommendation.

The top three finalists are:

  • Kathleen Fitzpatrick – Teaches 9th through 12th -grade Sciences at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School
  • Kathryn Liese – Teaches 7th and 8th-grade Pre-Engineering and STEM at Cecelia Snyder Middle School
  • Staci Northrup – Teaches 1st and 5th -grade classes at Makefield Elementary School

The winner will be awarded $2,500 and $500 will be donated to their school. The runners-up will each receive $1,000 and $500 donated to their school.

Through our competitive evaluation process, our finalists have demonstrated they all possess a remarkable skill set and high level of commitment to their profession," said Jim Merrill, Inspire FCU President/CEO.

Inspire will award the top three finalists and announce the winner at the grand opening celebration of their
newly relocted Bristol Branch at 65 Commerce Circle on July 21. The event will take place from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m.
