Former Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick Honored by Marines

The Patriot Detachment Marine Corps League was pleased to present a Marine Corps League Distinguished Service Award to former Congressman Michael G. Fitzpatrick at its meeting of January 18, 2017. The award was presented by Detachment Commandant Dick Weaver along with other Officers. The Award recognized the former Congressman for his devoted service and appreciation for all he had done on behalf of Veterans. As a recognized leader, he helped bring the National Veterans Cemetery to Bucks County, fought military tuition cuts, held the VA accountable and tirelessly helped Veterans in need. The award also noted one of his mottos “American service personnel must be supported both on and off the battlefield including when they return home after service and will continue working to support Veterans and delivering on promises that were made”.
