Hometown Heroes Honored With Wreath Laying Ceremony In Northampton

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Military veterans and first responders will be honored in Saturday's Hometown Heroes Wreath Laying Ceremony sponsored by the Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission.

The ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Union Cemetery, 209 Almshouse Rd. in Richboro.

The wreath laying will honor military veterans and first responders interned at Union Cemetery.

A presentation will take place followed by the laying of 400 wreaths.

Family members are welcome to place wreaths for their loved ones first before the community will lay down the remaining wreaths.

The township last month held a Veterans Day ceremony where it unveiled a new flag display.

The display is for 92 residents honored under the Patriots Flag Program during the Global War on Terror from 2003 to 2021. WATCH THE VIDEO of the ceremony below.
