Residents said the stop signs at Bustleton Pike and Lower Holland Road are much needed and will help reduce accidents and speeding.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A new three-way stop sign is now in place at Bustleton Pike and Lower Holland Road in what police and residents hope will help reduce speeding and accidents.
The Northampton Township Police Department posted on its Facebook page Wednesday that the stop signs had been added and that drivers need to pay attention when approaching the intersection.
PENNDOT has placed warning signs leading up to the stop signs. The police department has also placed electronic board signs to help make drivers aware.

Residents welcomed the stop signs, calling the intersection "dangerous" and "treacherous."
Others, in responding to the police department's post, worried that the signs would back up traffic during the day and that motorists coming over the hill might miss the sign and go through it.
