Nominate Someone For Northampton Wall Of Honor

Nominations for the 2019 awards must be sent in by Nov. 30 to be considered, Northampton officials said.

NORTHAMPTON, PA — Know somebody in Northampton who has gone above and beyond for the community? Well, now is your time to give them the recognition they deserve.

The Northampton Township Wall of Honor Committee is seeking nominations for the Northampton Township Wall of Honor. This award is to recognize people who have made lasting contributions to the community and contributed to the quality of life of other residents of Northampton Township.

The person selected will be honored with a plaque mounted on the Wall of Honor, located in the Township's municipal park.

To nominate someone for the honor, a nomination form must be completed and submitted to Northampton Township Wall of Honor Committee, 55 Township Rd., Richboro PA, 18954.

The nomination must be postmarked or emailed no later than Nov. 30 to be considered for the next calendar year.

Here are the criteria for the Wall of Honor:

  • The nominee must have been a resident during the time of community service, contribution or accomplishment the nominee is being nominated for
  • The nominee’s activities and/or accomplishments must benefit or have had a positive impact on the lives of the residents of Northampton Township.
  • The nominee’s activities involved volunteer activities
  • The nominee demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership and community spirit
  • The nominee would be considered a role model
  • If the nominee is being considered solely for community service one must exhibit involvement for five or more years of significant community service.
  • The nominee may be living or deceased.
  • The nominee, if a public servant, can not be in office or have been in office at least 3 years prior to the nomination.
  • The nominee is not being nominated solely for public service.
  • A nomination may be made by more than one individual, the more support the stronger the

nomination.
