Northampton Police Sgt. Graduates from Distinguished Management Program

Sergeant Steven E. Heath graduated Friday from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, School of Police Staff and Command.

A sixteen-year veteran of the Northampton Township Police Department graduated with the 326th class, Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, School of Police Staff and Command. Sergeant Steven Heath graduated on Friday, June 15, at the Radisson in Northeast Philadelphia.

Heath currently serves as the Platoon Supervisor of 2nd Platoon, Patrol Division for the Northampton Township Police Department, according to a release from the department.

The University’s School of Police Staff and Command is a respected and challenging 10-week management program that advances excellence in public safety, according to the press release. Attendance at this demanding academic course of study is quite prized in the law enforcement profession.

As a graduate of the program, Sgt. Heath joins the ranks of past and present members of the Northampton Township Police Department who have also graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command. Those graduates include Chief M. Barry Pilla, Jr., retired Lieutenant Neil A. Clark, Lieutenant Michael B. Clark, Detective Sergeant William Klein and Sergeant Steven LeCompte.
