Republicans Take Bucks County Races
The race for Superior Court judge was too close to call.

Republicans had won all but one Bucks County-wide race as of 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, with one race still considered too close to call.
All results remain unofficial.
- Republican David W. Heckler, running unopposed, was elected district attorney.
- Republican Edward Duke Donnelly beat Democrat Dennis McCauley in the sheriff's race.
- Republican Patricia L. Bachtle beat Democrat Ronald Jay Smolow in the prothonotary race.
- Republican Joseph Szafran beat Democrat James T. O'Brien and was elected recorder of deeds.
- Republican Raymond F. McHugh beat Democrat John Jordan and was elected county controller.
