Richboro's BSA Troop 145 Spring Service Project

BSA Troop 145 completed a service project at Tyler State Park on Saturday, May 2, 2015. This is the second year the Troop, which is registered as a Conservation Volunteer Group with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, worked in the park. The crew of 15 scouts and 6 adult volunteers worked for 6 hours to clear out trails along the Porter Run Nature Trail. According to Scoutmaster Steve Pinkas, the invasive multiflora roses threaten native plants in this area of the park and need to be cut back yearly.
