How well did Council Rock high schools perform in 2015?

The annual School Performance Profile (SPP) scores and Keystone Exam results have been released for the 2015 school year. The statistics measure the school’s ability to prepare high school students for college and their future careers.

Council Rock North scored 85.9, which is in the third highest grouping of scores, behind 100 or greater and 90 to 99. The score is down from 97.4 in the 2013-2014 school year.

Council Rock South scored 85.7. That’s down from 91.5 the previous academic year.

Both Council Rock North and South scored 100 on several sub-categories.

“Pennsylvania students are working toward college and career readiness, and posting School Performance Profile scores for schools with an 11th grade demonstrates school-level results in meeting that standard,” Education Secretary Pedro A. Rivera said in a press release.

While the SPP is a mixture of many factors, it relies heavily upon state assessment scores. It also includes college readiness tests, graduation and attendance rates, and number of rigorous courses, among other things.

Nearby, Central Bucks West scored 83.3, Central Bucks East scored 96 and Central Bucks South scored 88.8.
