Supervisors Award Distinguished Citizen
Local Steven Bryer expected to give a presentation but was instead awarded an honor last night.
The look on Steven Bryer's face when his name was called was nothing short of shock Wednesday evening as he pieced together that the distinguished citizen the supervisors wanted to name was, in fact, him.
Board of Supervisors Chairman George Komelasky presented Bryer with the Northampton Township Distinguished Citizens Award for his time and efforts selflessly devoted to township activities. Bryer was not aware that he was going to receive the award, but said he would accept it with gratitude.
Bryer is the president of Northampton Baseball, helped to facilitate the installation of lighting at the Civic Center and has played a huge role in fundraising for the Miracle League of Northampton, Komelasky said.

Players, friends and family filled the seats in the Administration Building to witness the ceremony.
"I think back to some of the people that [sic.] have gotten this award ... and I don't deserve it," Bryer said. "Half the people in this room have donated as much time and energy to this community as I have."
