Theft, Scam, And A 3-Car Crash: Northampton Township Police Report
Police said detectives continue to investigate a reported theft from company vehicles on Jacksonville Road in the township.

RICHBORO, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Jun 8 and 14, including a theft from company vehicles, a jury duty scam and a three-vehicle crash.
On June 8, police were called to the industrial park on Jacksonville Road for a reported theft. According to police, officers spoke with a business that reported several EZ-Pass transponders had been taken from company vehicles. Police gathered information, and the case was assigned to detectives.
On June 10, police investigated a missing package. A resident told police that their employer sent a company laptop and that the employer indicated it had been delivered, but the resident said they never received it. According to police, the resident contacted the shipping company, which is investigating the package’s whereabouts.

On June 11, a resident reported getting a phone call from someone claiming to be with the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. According to the report, the caller said the resident owed money for missing jury duty and instructed the person to send payment through Venmo. Police reported that information was gathered by the department.
Patrol also handled a suspicious vehicle call early on June 12. At about 1:30 a.m., officers observed an occupied vehicle in the municipal park parking lot off Hatboro Road. Police spoke with the occupants, advised them that the park was closed, and the individuals left without incident.

A three-vehicle crash was reported on June 13 at 2nd Street Pike and Upland Drive. According to police, vehicle No. 1 was traveling northbound on 2nd Street Pike when it drifted into the southbound lane and struck vehicle No. 2. Vehicle No. 2 then collided with vehicle No. 3, which was traveling behind it in the same direction. A tow truck was required.
Police also noted community and patrol activity on June 14. Officers attended a Flag Day ceremony in Richboro.
During this tour, the department reported handling 23 alarm calls, 19 abandoned 911 calls, 33 medical emergencies, 10 bookings, 7 domestic disputes, 9 civil disputes, 68 traffic monitoring details, and 25 crime prevention details.
