Thorwart Announcs Bid For Council Rock School Director

Michael Thorwart has thrown his hat in the ring for Council Rock School Director.

Thorwart, who holds a Ph.D in chemical engineering from Penn State and is a Senior Research Scientist with a defense contractor in Langhorne, has two children in the Council Rock School District.

He said that he aims to maintain the district’s high standards while “respecting the taxpayers who finance the district.”

“As your school director I will be a careful steward of the financial resources available while realizing that great schools create great communities and benefit all residents,” he said.

Since the school board is a nonpartisan position, Thorwart will appear on both the Republican and Democratic ballots in the May 19 primary.
