Trash Pickup Changes As Storm Looms In Northampton: See Details

Police asked residents who have pickup scheduled for Friday to put trash and recycling to the curb Thursday night.

NORTHAMPTON, PA — With a winter snow storm looming, Northampton Township is planning to collect trash and recycling overnight Thursday for residents who have pickup scheduled on Friday.

Township Police shared information about the change on social media. Forecasters have issued a winter storm warning for Lower Bucks County beginning at 4 a.m. Friday morning, due to dangerously icy conditions and the chance of 5 to 6 inches of snow accumulating.

Residents who usually have trash and recycling picked up on Friday are asked to have their bins out by 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18.

Trash and recycling trucks will make a special run beginning at midnight, and go throughout the early morning Friday.
