Trash Pickup Schedule Changed Due To Pope Visit
Northampton residents will have different trash pick up days next week due to Pope Francis' visit to the region.
Next week’s trash pickup schedule in Northampton will be adjusted because of the Pope’s visit to Philadelphia, the township announced Thursday.
Trash/recycling pickup and yard waste pickup will now take place one day late.
Here are the schedule details, according to the township:

Monday Collection:
- No Trash/recycling pick up on Monday, September 28.
- Trash, recycling and 1 bulk item will be collected on Tuesday, 9/29, and yard waste on Wednesday, 9/30.
Tuesday Collection:

- Trash, recycling and 1 bulk item will be collected on Wednesday, 9/30, and yard waste on Thursday, 10/1.
Thursday Collection:
- Trash, recycling and 1 bulk item will be collected on Friday, 10/2, and yard waste on Saturday, 10/3.
The regular trash pickup schedule will resume Oct. 5.
