Tri-Township Winning Tradition continues as the season culminates into another Championship as the rising 12u team takes the fall title.

Baseball is alive and well at Tri-Township even through the fall as the local cal ripken league developed a group of young ballplayers into a team that showed commitment, character and ability through the entire fall season, and they were justly rewarded as they displayed that character Thursday night in a come behind victory to be both regular season and Fall tournament champions in the Fall travel league.

Tri-Township was tested as their opponent had them on the ropes by stifling early rallies and taking advantage of the limited opportunities the Tri-Township pitchers and fielders presented the. Trailing, 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th, the team spoke about their commitment, opportunity, and need to finish their season playing strong, no matter what, and they replied in true TT fashion. Batter as batter challenged the pitchers forcing a bases loaded situation with only 1 out. The cold wind and November air presented a challenge for a long ball opportunity, so they elected to challenge their own agility and execution. Despite bases being loaded they perfectly executed a suicide squeeze by Collin Watson to tie the game, and then the floodgates opened with this momentum shift ultimately resulting in4 runs, and a 5-1 victory. Although the lead was safely in hand, they wanted that one last insurance run so mason Levine executed another suicide bringing the final run home. The opponents took advantage of every change they had but those were few and far between due to the great pitching by Jonathon Brzezicki and Reese Acord that kept the other team off bases most of the night.

Although only a few players are mentioned, it was a true team effort, from the beginning to the end of the season, and Tri-Township is proud to call them our community champions.
